Last weeks organizational goal: Unpack at least 5 boxes
Result: 7 boxes unpacked! Yay! :)
I have found 3 main problems:
1. My children like to compete for my attention while I am unpacking (even though I do most of the unpacking during their daily quiet time).
2. This house is 600 sq. ft. smaller than the one we just moved out of and 1000 sq. ft. smaller than the one before that. Finding a home for everything is proving a bit challenging!
3. The garage is still VERY full of stuff needing to be unpacked and finding a location for stuff that is to be given away is difficult.
Solutions:
1. If my children are being cooperative, I try to do more than one box so that if I miss a day I don't get discouraged with my progress.
2. I am having to get creative (especially with $0 budget) with storage. Additionally, I am having to be brutally honest with myself as to the necessity of each item.
3. Trying to give items away as soon as I have a bag/box full instead of waiting until I am "finished" to give things away.
Next weeks goal: Unpack 5 more boxes!

I hear you on number 2 and 3! We've been in our house since October and there is still so much in the garage! Since our house is 660 sq ft total creative organization is a must! Good thing there is lots of inspiration from all the other people in the challenge :)
