For school we took a week off for Fall Break and Unicorn took another week off at her dad's. That is the most time off of school we have taken since starting in August. To see what we have been learning click here!
October 3 ~ My Grandmother (Camp)'s birthday!
October 4 ~ Grandma agreed to make the kids' costumes...they want to be Doctors!
October 8 ~ Kurt's sister Emily's Birthday!
October 11-15 Fall Break...it was nice having Daddy home for a week!
October 15 ~ Our 6th Anniversary! These 6 years have flown by! Even more amazing is that we never fight and rarely disagree or argue! We also started a new chore/responsibility program with the children. I will write more next month after we have been using if for a while.
October 16 ~ Mom and I went to Super Saturday at church. I made a BOO/JOY decoration and mom made (and is still making) these super cute Holiday Towels!
October 17 ~ My sister-in-law, Amber's, birthday! And Daddy got a new calling at church: Ward Clerk. He will now be very busy on Sunday's!
October 19 ~ Grandma and Unicorn went to a special showing of "The Sound of Music" at the movie theater!
October 20 ~ One of my nieces had her 3rd baby girl!
October 23 ~ Unicorn, Ladybug, Grandma, Papa and I went to the musical "Beauty and the Beast". While the seats were not the greatest, everyone enjoyed the show. Then we took Unicorn to her dad's.
October 24 ~ Was the Primary Program at church. Ladybug said her part perfectly! "I know that Jesus loves me so I listen and obey. It makes me happy!" She was one of the few who had her part memorized!
October 29 ~ Unicorn came home from her dad's and she and I went to a Mother/Daughter Halloween Activity Day (through church).
October 30 ~ Daddy took the girls to Trunk~Or~Treat at the church. They had a great time while Monkey went to bed and I had some "mommy time"! (for more Halloween photos click here)
October 31 ~ Unicorn had a trial run at babysitting. Daddy needed to be at church for a meeting and wouldn't have time to come back and pick us up (we only have one vehicle) so Unicorn was given the choice to go with me while I dropped Daddy off or stay home and watch Ladybug. Until this point Unicorn had only stayed home alone or "watched" Monkey or Ladybug when they were sleeping or having quiet time. The longest she has babysat is for 20 minutes. This was a 14 minutes round-trip but Ladybug was not in quiet time so she had to actually watch her. Monkey loves car rides so he came with us. I left my phone with the girls in case they had problems or got scared. Well, they used the phone but not for those purposes! The took pictures of everything they did! They had a blast and took 14 photos in 14 minutes! Here are 9 of the pictures (the others were very similar to these)!
